2018
S&P AM launches its first sustainablity themed fund focusing on engagement.
The objective of Aktiv Påverkan is to maximise long-term returns through investments that focus on sustainability. Through surveys, our customers will choose which issues among the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that are most important to them. The strategy leverages the power of active involvement with corporate management to move business practices into a more sustainable direction. We will deal with these issues through shareholding and cooperation with other asset managers.
Söderberg & Partners chose to conduct a survey in 2018, based on what the savers consider important for a sustainable future, where as much as 38% emphasized that companies should not use child labour. Counteracting child labour can be linked to the goals "Decent Work and Economic Growth" as well as "Peace, justice and strong institutions”, which are two of the UN's 17 sustainable development goals.
Our first partner is Save the Children, who have a long experience of working with and influencing companies. Save the Children will act as an expert support for our impact work on this issue through joint workshops and regular feedback.
First investments are done and engagements have been initiated!
